Questions & Answers

Is it worth repairing my Kirby?

Often, yes. Common problems like a worn belt, a clogged hose or a brush roll that stopped spinning usually cost far less to fix than a new vacuum. Kirby vacuums are built to be rebuilt, so most can be repaired for years. We give you a free estimate and our recommendation, and if a repair isn't worth it, we'll tell you.

How much does Kirby repair cost?

Prices to repair a Kirby vacuum start at $30 to service the brushroll and change the belt, and go up from there depending on the issue. We will give you a free estimate if it powers on and let you know if it is worth completing the work based on the condition of your vacuum.

How long does a Kirby repair take?

Every repair is different, so we can't promise a time frame until we've seen your vacuum. We'll tell you up front if a part has to be ordered and provide you an expected completion date.

Are you an authorized Kirby service center?

Yes. We are an authorized warranty and service center for Kirby in Orlando, and we use only original Kirby parts.

Why won't my Kirby self-propel?

Kirby self-propelled models do experience issues with the drive lever. Many YouTubers show themselves reinstalling the damaged lever for a quick fix. This is not a permanent fix and only leads to more hassles or potential damage to the gears in the transmission. Bring in your Kirby self-propelled and we'll repair your vacuum right the first time by installing a brand new, original Kirby transmission lever.

Why is my Kirby vacuum getting loud?

Kirby vacuums use a powerful direct air motor. These motors are designed to allow air, dirt and debris to go directly through the fan chamber. Over time, this can cause wear or damage to the fan blade, and the motor gets louder and louder as a result. Don't wait for it to break! Bring in your Kirby today so we can save you money on more costly repairs.

Why won't my Kirby come on after using the Rug Renovator shampoo attachment?

This is usually a simple fix. Check all of your connections. Make sure the brushroll head is securely on and the cloth bag is fully locked into place.
